About
Let’s start with the obvious: this site exists because “follow your passion” is terrible advice when your rent is due Friday.
Rent’s Due Revenue is a darkly funny, brutally honest site about making money online when you’re not doing it for aesthetics, personal branding, or some fake laptop-on-the-beach lifestyle. You’re doing it because bills exist, your bank account has opinions, and you’d like your income to become slightly less humiliating.
This site covers practical ways to make money online — blogging, affiliate marketing, newsletters, YouTube, freelancing, digital products, and side hustles that can actually move money. Not “buy yourself a celebratory iced coffee” money. Real-money potential. Rent-money potential. At minimum, fewer-panicked-Sunday-night potential.
What you’ll find here
Most make-money-online content falls into one of two categories:
- Delusional.
- Technically true, but written by someone who has not been financially stressed since 2017.
Rent’s Due Revenue is for people who want the version without the fake urgency, fake screenshots, fake gurus, and fake passive income timelines.
Here’s what you’ll find here:
- Honest breakdowns of online income models and how they actually work.
- Step-by-step guides for starting blogs, newsletters, affiliate funnels, and other income streams.
- Experiments, case studies, and transparent posts about what paid, what flopped, and what turned out to be a complete waste of human life.
- Content systems and marketing strategy for people trying to build income without turning into a motivational LinkedIn post.
Who this is for
This site is for you if:
- You want to make money online, but your tolerance for nonsense is critically low.
- You are starting with limited money, limited time, or both.
- You care less about “building a personal brand” and more about building income that covers actual expenses.
- You want strategy that is useful, realistic, and written like it was made by a person with bills.
If you’re looking for instant riches, effortless passive income, or someone to tell you success is one mindset shift away, this site is probably going to disappoint you. Deeply.
Why this site exists
There are plenty of sites that will tell you online income is easy. There are plenty that will tell you you can quit your job in 30 days. There are also plenty of people selling courses about making money online who appear to make most of their money selling courses about making money online.
That’s not what this is.
Rent’s Due Revenue exists to document the real side of building income online: the slow starts, the awkward first commissions, the side hustles that look better in theory than in your checking account, and the strategies that actually have a shot at becoming something meaningful if you stick with them.
In other words: less fantasy, more receipts.
And if you want the best stuff without checking the site every day like a raccoon looking for dropped fries, join the newsletter.
